This has to be THE ultimate top boutique riad hotel in Marrakech.

It is uber cool with an undeniably design flair. There are no other hotels that can match this 488m2 property. It is out there in a league of its own.

Interestingly, the hotel is part of a well recognised and unique international brand.

The property boasts twelve elegant and funky suites set between three interconnecting courtyards – one with the most fabulous decorative fountain as its centre piece – another a rose petalled splash pool.

The property was created from three 18th century merchants’ houses.

Every inch of the hotel was meticulously redesigned and beautifully realised over the course of a three year restoration project.

The rooms are a gorgeous blend of traditional Moroccan fixtures – like keyhole arches, smooth tadelakt walls and decorative, latticed windows – Balinese influences and some more modern design notes, with chairs ranging from extravagant Louis XV affairs to plastic Philippe Starck pieces.

A palette of ochres, whites, sandy hues and duck-egg blues touched with vibrant splashes of colour rounds off the overall stylish effect nicely.

Aside from the gorgeous rooms, the appeal of hotel lies in the atmosphere of the riad. The rooms fan out from two palm-filled courtyards, and elsewhere in the building there’s a small hammam, a dipping pool for cooling off on searing hot afternoons, and a roof terrace with some fabulous views of the ramshackle rooftops and the Atlas Mountains in the distance.
